1.Summer Orchestral Course, Bristol - Language & Music for Life

Update: Language & Music for Life summer courses 2025 in the UK take place in Llandovery College (a co-educational independent day and boarding school in Llandovery, a market town in Carmarthenshire in south-west Wales).
2020 location:
Based in Tockington Manor School, just 12 miles north of Bristol in the south-west of England, Language and Music for Life provides an intensive, 1-week orchestral music course for children (ages 5 to 14) who want to have an opportunity to “make” music in summer 2025.
This residential and non-residential course is designed for players who have reached at least Grade 4 standard on any orchestral instrument.
Children ages 9-14 can attend as boarders while students ages 5-9 should either live locally, or stay in local Bed & Breakfasts with their parents who would transport them to the course each day.
The course, ‘Strictly Come Playing’ is a week-long summer music camp that culminates in the creation of 'The 100 Little Hands Symphony Orchestra', which is conducted by William Godfree. We accept applications from students who currently play Strings, Woodwind, Brass, and Percussion instruments.
At Language and Music for Life, we are serious about providing a safe environment for very young people to develop. Our priority is that all students are safe and happy.
We also provide quality language lessons in French and English in very small groups during the camp.
1-week Intensive Orchestral and Choir Course in August 2016: - For children ages 5 to 14
We accept applicants for the following instruments:
- Strings: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Harp.
- Woodwind: Flute (preferably with Piccolo), Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon
- Brass: French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Bass Trombone, Tuba

Additional Study Options: - One to one voice coaching (5 hours per week)

Rossall Summer School provides an intensive English language summer programme combined with fun activities, academic subjects, and cultural excursions. We are located in Fleetwood in the Wyre District of Lancashire on the northwest coast of England. Rossall is 20 minutes north of Blackpool airport and one hour north of both Manchester and Liverpool international airports.
Our summer school runs for 8 weeks in the summer holidays on our stunning coastal campus with lots to explore. We recommend pupils stay for a minimum of 2 weeks. We teach in small classes of no more than 10 students per class, ensuring each pupil receives individual attention.
Our summer school embodies the same high standards as our year round programme.
